FC 27 Xavi Espart Future Stars SBC: Requirements, Solutions, and Cost
Welcome to the ultimate guide for the newly released score-based Squad Building Challenge in FC 27 Ultimate Team. The Xavi Espart SBC is here, giving players the chance to secure a special Future Stars version of the young Spanish sensation. Unlike traditional challenges, this release utilizes a modern score-based format.
How Score-Based Squad Building Challenges Work
If you are wondering how to complete this challenge, the mechanics are straightforward yet distinct from classic building tasks. There are no squad formations to piece together and zero chemistry requirements to worry about. Instead, you can submit any player items directly from your club storage. Every individual player item is assigned a fixed grading score based on its rating and attributes. The SBC is successfully completed the moment the combined grading score of your submitted cards hits or exceeds the mandatory score threshold. For this specific challenge, some player submissions require a minimum OVR restriction, meaning you must carefully select items that match those parameters while maximizing efficiency.
Cost Analysis and Efficient Solutions
Managing your club inventory effectively is key to minimizing costs. Because every card contributes a fixed score value, the most cost-effective strategy to reach the target is to submit untradeable or low-cost players who offer the best coin-to-grading-score ratio. Currently, the estimated market cost sits around 38,950 on consoles and 41,000 on PC, though you can drastically reduce expenses by utilizing duplicate untradeables already sitting in your club. With the overall rewards value estimated at roughly 2,500, it is well worth evaluating your club stock before heading to the transfer market.

The player item celebrates the meteoric rise of Xavi Espart, who joined FC Barcelona's La Masia academy in the summer of 2015 from UE Vilassar de Mar. His breakthrough culminated under manager Hansi Flick when he made his first-team debut in March 2026 during the UEFA Champions League Round of 16 first leg against Newcastle United at St. James' Park. During the 2025/26 season, he made six total appearances for the senior squad, helping the club capture both the LALIGA title and the Supercopa de España. Entering the 2026/27 campaign, Espart was promoted to a permanent member of FC Barcelona's first-team squad, featuring primarily as a full-back and midfielder. His stellar development led to a contract extension signed on October 8, 2026, committing his future to the Catalan club until June 30, 2030. His recent performances underline his growing importance: on September 13, 2026, he played 80 minutes and scored a goal in a 4-2 LALIGA victory away against Levante. He subsequently played the full 90 minutes for Spain U21 in a match against Finland U21 on September 25, 2026, and anchored the defense for 90 minutes in a clean sheet 3-0 LALIGA win against Getafe on October 10, 2026.
