Max. 86 Base Hero Upgrade SBC: Requirements, Solutions, and Cost
The brand new Max. 86 Base Hero Upgrade has arrived in FC 27 Ultimate Team, offering players an exciting chance to bolster their squads with a legendary icon. This fresh iteration utilizes the innovative score-based Squad Building Challenge system, redefining how you trade in your club stock.
How Score-Based Squad Building Challenges Work
Unlike traditional challenges where you must carefully construct a squad matching specific rating thresholds and chemistry links, score-based SBCs throw out those rigid rules. There is no squad formation to worry about, and chemistry plays absolutely no role here. Instead, you simply submit any player items directly from your club. Every player item carries a fixed grading score. Your goal is to accumulate enough total player value to hit the specified score requirement. For this specific challenge, any player with a minimum OVR of 45 can be thrown into the mix, making it an ideal destination to clear out unassigned duplicates and low-rated untradeables.

Finding the Cheapest Way to Reach the Score
Managing your coins effectively is essential when completing score-based SBCs. Because you are chasing a target score rather than a team rating, the smartest approach is to calculate the price-to-score ratio of your fodder. The cheapest way to reach the 85,000 score requirement is to submit players who offer the lowest price per grading score. Buying high-rated fodder inefficiently can drain your balance, so targeting high-supply cards with optimal grading weights keeps expenditures low.
