FC 27 5x 80+ Upgrade SBC: Cheapest Solutions, Requirements & Rewards
Welcome to our comprehensive guide for the newly released 5x 80+ Upgrade in FC 27 Ultimate Team. This innovative score-based Squad Building Challenge offers a fresh approach to club management, giving you an alternative way to trade in your unwanted cards for high-value rewards.
Understanding Score-Based SBCs and Requirements
Unlike classic SBCs where you need to build a specific squad layout adhering to complex chemistry links and formation constraints, score-based challenges operate entirely differently. There is no squad to build and zero chemistry requirements. Instead, you simply submit any player items directly from your club. Every single player item possesses a fixed grading score. The SBC is completed successfully once the combined grading score of your submitted players hits the overall target requirement of 6750. Additionally, individual challenges may enforce entry barriers, such as requiring players with a minimum OVR rating of 45.

How to Find the Cheapest Solutions and Optimize Your Cost
Because this format relies entirely on cumulative point totals rather than specific ratings per position, the golden rule for keeping expenses down is maximizing value efficiency. The absolute cheapest way to reach the score threshold is to submit players that offer the lowest coin price per individual grading score. Instead of throwing away high-rated meta cards, look deep into your unassigned or club storage for untradeable duplicates or high-supply low-rated assets. Estimated market expenses sit around 7,850 on consoles and 7,450 on PC, though utilizing existing club stock can drop your net out-of-pocket spending significantly.
